SMART KIGALI
Kigali is capital and largest city of Rwanda which is most important business centre divided into three districts Nyarugana, Kicukiro and Gasabo.
"Smart Kigali" is a project which is line with Rwandas vision 2020 symbolise another step towards achieving the East African Nations prospects of becoming a regional IT (Information Technology) hub and this was the first step in strategy which aim to provide coverage to all public buildings such as Hospitals, Schools.
In the collaboration of the ministry of youth and ICT (Information and Communications Technology) the city of Kigali with Rwanda Development Board, Rwanda utilities and regulatory agency, Rwanda hotel and restaurant Association and major telecom operators in 2013, 20th september launched the "Smart Kigali" initiative, aimed at modernizing the lifestyle of Kigali city dwellers and visitors through use of ict for better service delivery.
Smart Kigali is also fighting against poverty through Girubucuruzi project which inspired by the cuccess of national programe aimed at improving incomes among the poor.
